TR58AB Optogenetics Biopotential Telemeter (blue)

The TR58AB Kaha Sciences Rat Optogenetics Biopotential telemeter is suitable for use in rats >175 g.  The TR58AB combines optogenetics stimulation with recording of a single biopotential signal (e.g. ECG, EEG or EMG) in a single implant.  The telemeter is reusable and has a 35 cm fibre optic allowing for direct placement of the stimulating blue light (460nm) at target cells and 25 cm biopotential leads.  The telemeter is fully implantable and encased in a durable, biocompatible hard-shell (liquid crystal polymer), the telemeter weighs approximately 12 g.

The TR58AB is compatible for use only with a Kaha Sciences TR181 SmartPad and TR190 Configurator.  When used on the SmartPad, 24/7 wireless power and data transmission is available.  The battery backup in the TR58AB allows the telemeter to continue stimulating and transmitting data whilst on the SmartPad as well as providing approx. 3 hours (stimulation pattern dependant) of power if the animal is away from the SmartPad recharging field.  For laboratories with existing TR181 and TR190 hardware, the firmware will need to be upgraded.

TR50B Biopotential Telemeter (ECG, EEG or EMG)

The TR50B Biopotential telemeter is suitable for use in rats >175 g. The TR50B measures the biopotential difference between the two electrode leads. The leads can be placed to measure a single biopotential signal such as ECG, EEG or EMG. The TR50B is compatible with the TR181 SmartPad (or TR180 SmartPad) and the TR190 Configurator.

Encased in a durable, biocompatible hard-shell (liquid crystal polymer), the telemeter weighs ~12 g (7 cm3) and includes 25 cm long biopotential leads. When used on the SmartPad, 24/7 data transmission is available. The TRM54P Kaha Sciences Rat Pressure telemeter is suitable for use in rats >175 g. The TRM54P measures high-fidelity pressure using a solid-state Millar Mikro-Tip® sensor. Pressure is measured directly at the tip of the catheter (2Fr in diameter, 9 cm long (15 cm & 25 cm options available)) and the telemeter can be used to measure arterial, venous, ventricular or intracranial pressure (25 cm catheter required). Encased in a durable, biocompatible hard-shell (liquid crystal polymer), the telemeter weighs approximately 12 g.

The TRM54PB combines measurement of high-fidelity pressure using a solid-state Millar Mikro-Tip® sensor with a single biopotential signal (e.g. ECG, EEG or EMG). Pressure is measured directly at the tip of the pressure catheter (2Fr in diameter, 9 cm long (15 cm & 25 cm options available)) and the telemeter can be used to measure arterial, venous, ventricular or intracranial pressure (25 cm catheter required). The biopotential signal measures the potential difference between the pair of 25 cm coiled electrode leads. Encased in a durable, biocompatible hard-shell (liquid crystal polymer), the telemeter weighs approximately 12 g.

The TRM56SP Kaha Sciences Rat Sympathetic Nerve Activity (SNA) and Pressure Telemeter is suitable for use in rats >175 g. It is the only commercially available telemetry device that allows concurrent measurement of SNA and pressure. The TRM56SP is compatible for use with the TR181 SmartPad (or TR180 SmartPad) and TR190 Configurator.

Encased in a durable, biocompatible hard-shell (liquid crystal polymer), the telemeter weighs approximately 12 g with a Millar solid state pressure sensor (2Fr in diameter, 9 cm long (15 cm & 25 cm options available)) and multi-stranded SNA lead wires (25 cm long). The telemeter samples the pressure and SNA signals at 2 kHz with an SNA input range of ±60 µV. When used on the SmartPad, 24/7 data transmission is available. TR57Y Tissue Oxygen Telemeter

The TR57Y Kaha Sciences Rat Tissue Oxygen Telemeter is an implantable potentiostat with a carbon paste electrode specifically configured for measuring tissue (e.g. brain, kidney) oxygen concentration in freely moving rats >175 g. The telemeter can be easily cleaned and sterilized for reuse after attachment of new electrodes. The TR57Y is compatible for use with the TR181 SmartPad (or TR180 SmartPad) and TR190 Configurator. The Kaha Sciences Cohousing feature allows tissue oxygen measurement with other signals by placing two telemeters in one rat.
